Microsoft QuickTips

I bought a new laptop (xp pro) and had outlook 07 but couldnt get use to it so i tried to install back microsoft office xp pro with microsoft outlook 02 but now it wont work ! cant open outlook (excel and word are ok) now i did unistall outlook 07 and i keep getting message : missing entry: rundllentry. help i need to get this sorted asap !! many thanks i tried to do system restore but it wont let me restore to an earlier point

The first 2 answers on here are definitely worth trying. uninstall then reinstall. if that doesn't work then try system restore which will put your pc back to the setup it had at an earlier time and date. ( read your extra bit - that doesn't work.) also you can do the following. are you getting a path and filename in the error message such as: error in c:\windows\system32\ spool\drivers\w32x86\ lxcitime.dll missing entry:rundllentry probably with a different file path and name? if so check to see whether that file is present in the path. it needs to be for the software to work. another thing you can try is get the whole error message including that first bit and google it. you'll get loads of hits which will give you advice about what to do. also, go to www.microsoft.com and put the whole error message into the search box. if that doesn't find anything then use the 2nd part, or the file name (xxxxx.dll). the microsoft site can be useful at times like these. hope some of this helps. nice luck.
