Outlook 2000 sp-3?
I am cycling outlook 2000 sp-3 on xp. since upgrading the sp to sp-3 i have had lots of problems. my pc hangs when i receive an email but the main problem is if i have more than 31 emails, it crashes. i hit send/receive and it receives 1 to 31 and then stops. task blokeager shows outlook not responding so i have to end it, go into my emails via its associated website, clear down to less than 31 and then re-open outlook and continue.
its a pain, has anyone seen this before or know how to fix it. i think it could be the sp but can you reverse it?
blokey thanks
mike
done an office update so its bang up to date but still, when it hits 31 emails it crashes. any other ideas?
Answer
Hi
you could try running a windows update which will patch your os and any other m$ applications (i reckon
outlook 2000 is supported). see if that resolves it. if it doesn't automatically update outlook 2000 goto
http://office.microsoft.com/engb/downloads/cd010225211033.aspx
and download any updates you'vent got from there.
you could also try looking through the knowledge base at support.microsoft.com to see if it's a know problem and the solution.
hope this helps
