Outlook 2003 problem?

Can somebody help me? i tried to go into my emails three days ago and got an error message "cannot start microsoft office outlook. unable to open the outlook window. the set of folders could not be opened. the server is not available. contact your administrator if this condition persists" i have even paid for somebody to look at my pc and he re-installed outlook but to no avail. i'm not too worried about email but my address book and diary is locked in there somewhere.

Try running http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner the issues tab you don't say what operating system you use.. also there was a few update patches.. have you tried booting in safe mode? tap f8 on boot.. see if you have any joy in running it but that will tell you the outlook is ok, and there is a problem with something else. when was the last time you scanned for viruses and is your anti virus up to date? also do u have a firewall installed.. if not get this > http://www.filehippo.com/download_zonealarm_free/ and virus scan the pc also use that for a while.. when the a/v trial runs out u can switch to > http://www.filehippo.com/download_avg_antivirus/ you could always use thunderbird, for the time being. http://www.mozilla.com/en-us/thunderbird/ and then> http://support.real-time.com/tbird/outlook_import.html
