How can you change access rights through your property?

A neighbour has access through the side of our house and back garden to access their back garden.this agreement is on the deeds of the property but is over 100 years old and is worded to the effect of access via foot & with wheelbarrow. there's no time restraints set but we are wondering if there is any way we can legally get this changed as constantly having access used for bicycles etc. it is getting to be an invasion of privacy , also these neighbours are leaving access unsecure so just wondering how we stand legally it is in the charges register so i believe we've to get a deed of release from the neighbour ctwo timesrned.don't know if this is the case any advice? we are talking about a property in england
Answer
Any change to the easement should be negotiated with the assistance of a lawyer, reduced to writing, and should be recorded among the land records of the county where you reside. the easement is part of the title of both pieces of real estate, and any change will be formal and must be properly recorded. informal vebal agreements which are incapable of being recorded are not binding on successor owners of either property.
