I've applied for both of these couses at college. i've been accepted into the access and i've an interview for the hnc. my query is, what would be the best coursework to go for. i 've heard the the hnc can get you into 2nd year uni and the access gets you a guarunteed interview for 1st year first year. i thought that the hnc would be nice because i would be progressing quicker, but my friends told me(both been to uni) that it is better off to start in 1st year to get used to the way of learning and such. what do you think , have you been through these coursework and what did you think was the better option? thanks

Go to uni if this is possible. i did an hnc at my local college and went on to social work at uni in my 2nd. i felt like an alien, i didn't know the lectures, the style of writing changed, had problems fitting in with my peers, the library was hard to comprehend , because it was my "2nd year"t i was expect to known things such as the computer system , where to hand essays in etc, couldn't find my way round the campus. it was a nightmare. luckily a peer k me under her wing showed me e thing i need we became nice friends and on a positive note i am now enjoying my coursework and going on to the ma.
