Excel problem?
If anyone can
be so kind and give me clear and simple step by step instructions i would be so grateful.
using excel for the first time and this is the prob: received an excel sheet by email with four headings in four columns into which i have
to copy and paste details from a website. no problem with copy and paste function until i go to the second row of the first column and this is what happens; the first column runs into the second, so is therefore much bigger than intended and also it affects what goes into this column. as i work my way down the rows i simply don't know what to do to rectify this and it has made it impossible to submit this worksheet. i know that i am copying and pasting correctly, but something is wrong. as the worksheet was created and set by anyone else, i didn't reckon
that i had anything to do except copy and paste into each respective row and column. what can i possibly do to correct this
? thank you so much in advance..pulling hair out now!!
Answer
My first guess is the word wrap setting. click on the first cell in the first row. right click your mouse and select format cells.
. then select the 2nd tab and check the wrap text box. click on it and the text should wrap or go in a straight line accordingly.
