Windows vista stopped connecting to the internet. why?

I have a new pc running windows vista home premium. when i first connected my router/modem the internet worked fine. then 1 day it stopped. on the bottom right of the taskbar, the network icon said 'limited local access.' which was strange because the router still worked on my old pc and ps3. i bought a new router and connected it to the pc. vista recognised it immediately. i entered settings and all was fine. then one day it stopped working. same problem as before, although the new router works fines on old pc/ps3. i reinstalled vista. i had engineer replace motherboard & network card. check settings. all is fine. eextremelything suggest a bug in windows vista. anyone know if vista has a bug? does windows change network settings? help!
Answer
Try turning off windows firewall, and logging into your router and putting your computer on the dmz. look in your manual on how to do that.
