Vista oem of retail box version?

I recently bought a computer with windows vista pre-installed, i had to reinstall vista (using the copy that come with my pc) twice due to error messages. the problem is it keeps rejecting my product key, the product key that is suck to my base unit, should i buy windows vista oem - will this come with a new product key, or do i've to buy a new retail box of windows vista. phoned microsoft and got it sorted, thanks for the help.

If you've a product key, don't buy a new one! that's a waste of money. contact microsoft and say you've had to reinstall vista twice and you had previously registered your version of vista so it won't let you continue. they should be able to help you out!
